Brooke Felt Counseling

Meet Brooke

Through my own lived experiences and passion for understanding people, I have learned the value of empathy and acceptance in the healing process. I specialize in working with older elementary schoolers (4th and 5th grades) and middle schoolers, teens, young adults and adults.

My experience has focused around navigating challenging relationships, life transitions, complex trauma, eating disorders, health anxiety, OCD, ADHD and borderline personality disorder.

I use an integrative, client-centered approach in my work to best support each client. I find myself working well with those who tend to intellectualize their problems!

My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic and relational, creating a space that fosters hope and acceptance. I offer EMDR therapy, which is helpful in processing trauma and experiences in life that you feel “stuck” in. I also offer nature-based and “walk-and-talk” therapy for those who feel more comfortable integrating movement and fresh air into sessions.

I have over 4 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults navigating a variety of issues related to health, anxiety, relationships, trauma/loss and life transitions. I work from a client-centered perspective and use other strategies based on each client. I also have a certification in EMDR.

I would love to be a part of this season of healing with you. If you feel like we would be a good fit, I would be happy to chat more with a free consultation!

My education includes a bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College and master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Georgia. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and am practicing under the supervision of Jenny Reynolds, LPC and Vance Sims, LCSW.

When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family! My husband and I have a beautiful daughter, a sweet bernedoodle, and two playful cats. I love spending time outside and going on walks.

I am currently accepting clients!

Both in-person and virtual sessions are available, as well as non-traditional hours (after 5pm and weekend availability), to offer the most flexibility for busy schedules.
